With British punctuality started last night at 21:00 hours at Golf Costa Adeje the concert of the year of the Canary Islands. Elton John and his entire band performed a concert that can only be described as "memorable." More than 20.000 people enjoyed this show of the international star and music legend.
'Elton John and His Band " arrived in his private jet from Abu Dhabi, where they had presented his latest album,' Rocquet Man: The Definitive Hits (2007) ', a compilation of their best 18 songs made in memory of his 60th birthday.
In Tenerife, amid great expectations, Elton John played a rewiew of his greatest hits with his peculiar style, which mixes piano ballads, pop and some rock, what all together have converted him into one of the most famous songwriters and singers.
He established himself already in the seventies as a star singing his hits like 'Crocodile Rock' (1972), 'Candle In The Wind' (1973), 'Bennie And The Jets "(1973) and' Do not Let The Sun Go Down On Me '(1974), and all those songs were repeated by him together with the audience and he made us understand why seven of his albums were listed in the top of the British charts during the first half of this decade. The public had the oportunity to listen to a review of his whole career full of successes, but also to listen to more melodic tracks accompanied by his piano compositions which brought him the Grammy in the 80 to get a Grammy.
About 350 people worked to get the stage adequate, with 216 000 watts of sound and 226.000 of lighting in a warm summernight, where the temperature didn't get lower than 17 degrees Celsius.
